Virtual Sun No. 0028
An artificial sun rises and sets inside the gallery before slowly giving way to a synthetic moon. Fresnel optics transform LED light into a hovering luminous sphere that appears suspended at impossible depth.
Originally developed for lighthouses, the lens once guided ships through darkness and storm. Here navigation survives as aesthetic experience detached from geography, danger, and sky.
The work condenses climate control, celestial simulation, and industrial design into a single atmospheric object. Visitors gather around manufactured daylight while ecological conditions outside become increasingly unstable.
The eclipse now runs on electricity.
