Dimensions

Steel, maritime hardware, Fresnel optics, and a high-spectrum LED assemble into an artificial sun hovering in perceptual instability. Depending on the viewer’s position, the sphere appears solid, transparent, near, or infinitely distant.

The lens technology was originally designed for lighthouses to parallelize light and prevent catastrophe at sea. Inside the installation, orientation drifts toward spectacle.

Industrial relic, navigational device, and celestial symbol collapse into the same object. The atmosphere of guidance remains. Its destination disappears.
